What is Deep Listening?

"Acoustic space is where time and space merge as they are articulated by sound. Deep has to do with complexity boundaries or edges beyond ordinary or habitual understandings."

Listening is never considered as an experience in my daily life. The Power of Listening is a mind opening speech that leads me to rethink sound. People use spoken language to communicate, which is a universal understandable lyric that's written in dictionaries. Likely, sound is the same. Sound lives in context, and human brain automatically process what's been heard. Nothing interests us to think about a sound if it appears over and over again. However, when we are listening to an instrument we never hear before, we will think and focus on the sound even though it is nothing different that the other sounds we hear everyday.

Therefore, what's really important about sounds are their context. What do a sound convey to its listener? What the listening is thinking when he/she is listening to the sound?

Moreover, as a designer, what do we think of when we want to convey a concept through a sound piece?
