Collectable Signal: The Air Raid Siren Swan Song

A construction that is been built and used for over 50 year. A series of sirens buzz alarms that can be heard through out the nation. Angela De Weijer was inspired by this long-existing sirens and chose to create a song for them before they are deconstructed. The part interests me is that, Angela did not see the alarm as a tensional sound and create a relatively loud song for it. However, when listen to the swan song, I felt peace as if the sound should exist in my daily life.

This inspiration of the sirens to create a song fascinates me the most. Using this way to memorize something exists for a long time is a great interpretation of feelings. When think of sirens, listener will not think of something loud, but something harmony and grand.
