Week one's readings and videos introduces all components that could be use in a circuit design. For some parts, I had a knowledge before, but the others are new skill sets for me. The components that been talks in the reading are : conductors, insulators, resistors, capacitors. And the basic formula is also taught in the readings and videos, which gave me a heads of of how to connect components onto a circuit board.
For me, the lab from week one is to get familiar with the names and functions and general features of the components.
